Reward of merit. [ca. 1840].

Document is printed with illustrations of summer (cutting wheat and fishing) and winter (ice skating) scenes. The printed text reads: "The bearer M [r. Elijah Barber - added by hand] receives this as a token of the praise [he] merits for [his] faithfulness and good behavior in school from [his] teacher. [I.R.P.]" Written on the back: "Elijah Russel Barber presents this to his cousin Orin Goodrich."
